I have a cousin who was recently pregnant and after a loving and tough pregnancy that sweet baby girl went to heaven. When she expressed interest in a quilt that she liked, while she was carrying, I knew that I wanted to give her something that she could keep forever. She had liked a quilt on Pinterest so it was easy to replicate the pattern to make it my own.
It ended up being 36″ x 36″. I used a fat quarter pack that I have had in my stash for a while. We weren’t sure if it was a girl or a boy so I went with something that could be used for either a girl or a boy.
It was the first time that I had done a scrappy binding and I think that it turned out amazing. After washing it, it may have shrunk a small bit but not much. I just did a stipple all over and the crinkling was great.
I know that this was made for a special girl but hopefully someday it will be shared with her brother or sister.
